Friday, November 17

? The annual chili supper and Spirit Night sponsored by the St. Elmo/Brownstown cheerleaders will be held at St. Elmo High School. The chili supper is in the SEHS cafeteria from 5-6:30 p.m., with the cost being $6 per person. Spirit Night is in the SEHS gym at 7 p.m. Admission is $1 or one canned food item.
? Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 will hold bingo at 7 p.m. at the Legion Home; doors open at 5:30 p.m.
? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a Fantastic Friday at 4 p.m. Children up to age 10 are invited to listen to stories and disguise a turkey. Registration is required; to register, call the library, 283-2824.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Saturday, November 11

? The New Testament of Revelation will be taught from 1-3:30 p.m. every Saturday through Nov. 25, sponsored by the Rehoboth Baptist Church Association. The course is being led by Dr. Olen Evans of First Baptist Church of Brownstown. For more information, call 780-1857 or 780-0842.

Sunday, November 19

? The annual St. Peter Lutheran Turkey Supper will be held in the gym at St. Peter's Lutheran School in St. Peter. Doors open at 4:45 p.m., and serving begins at 5 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12; children under age 3 are free. Carry-outs will be available. Proceeds go toward school and church expenses, and donations will be accepted.

Monday, November 20

? Fayette County Mothers of Preschoolers meets at 6:30 p.m. in the back room of the St. Elmo Public Library. Mothers of children ages newborn to kindergarten-age are invited. Snacks and child care is provided.
? The VFW Auxiliary meets at 7 p.m. at the VFW Home on West St. Louis in Vandalia.
? The Women of the Moose meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, November 21

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? An American Red Cross blood drive, sponsored by the Vandalia Rotary Club, will be held from noon-6 p.m.
? The Vandalia Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. in the district's administration center.
? The Fayette County Board of Health meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Fayette County Health Department, 416 W. Edwards St., Vandalia.

Wednesday, November 22

? Bingo is held at the Vandalia Moose Lodge in Vandalia. It starts at 7 p.m., with Lightning at 5:30 p.m.
