Vandals Sports Boosters Donate $15,000

At halftime of Friday’s varsity football game, the Vandals Sports Boosters presented high school and junior high officials with a check for $15,000. Boosters President Lisha Ledbetter, second from left, presented the check to Vandalia Community High School Principal Randy Protz (left), Vandalia Junior High School Principal Brian Kern (second from right) and district Athletic Director Nick Casey (right). The Sports Boosters have been providing $15,000 for athletic supply costs for all district-sponsored athletics for the past four years. Last year’s purchases included: football jerseys and mouth guards, track uniforms, volleyball uniforms, tennis balls, soccer balls, scorebooks for boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball pants, mat tape and singlets for wrestling, cheerleading uniforms and baseballs for the high schoo
