GOLF
The Vandalia boys golf team beat Greenville and was edged by Breese Central in a triangular match on Monday at Greenville Country Club.
Breese Central won the triangular with a 185 total, followed by Vandalia at 187 and Greenville at 212.
Vandalia’s Scott Shulman was the match medalist with a 42. Other Vandalia scores: Nathaniel Weaver 46, Connor Satterthwaite 49 and Bryce Dunn 50.
Vandalia stands at 7-5 on the season.

The Vandal golfers lost to North Mac in a home match last Thursday, 180-184.
Matt Hendricks of North Mac was the match medalist with a 4-over par 39. Vandalia scores: Scott Shulman 41, Nathaniel Weaver 44, Bryce Dunn 45 and Zach McCaslin 54.

Vandalia managed a split in a triangular match at Vandalia Country and Golf Club last Wednesday.
Litchfield won the three-team match with a 165 total, Vandalia had a 180 total and Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran had a 198 score.
Alex Bishop of Litchfield was the match medalist with a 2-over par 37. Scott Shulman led Vandalia golfers with a 39. Other Vandalia scores: Nathaniel Weaver 40, Bryce Dunn 43 and Connor Satterthwaite 58.

The Lady Vandals participated in the Olney Tournament on Tuesday.
Breann Swain of Vandalia was fifth with a 54, and Alisha Swain was sixth with a 55.
Katelyn Leggett of Oblong won the tournament with a 39.

TENNIS
The Lady Vandals were blanked in a match at Hillsboro last Thursday.
“We had some success at doubles, but fell late at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles,” coach Bill Blythe said.
Singles – Stacey Hudson lost to Macey Eddington 2-6, 0-6; Aleia Beckman lost to Kyra Huber 0-6, 0-6; Allysin Ward lost to Maggie Huber 0-6, 0-6; Lora Hedgpeth lost to Annie Matson 0-6, 0-6; Lexie Beckman lost to Grace Anderson 0-6, 0-6; and Ryle Valezquez lost to Sheridan Schreiber 0-6, 0-6.
Doubles – Hudson/Ward lost to Anderson/Schreiber 7-10; Hedgpeth/Aleia Beckman lost to Huber/Lucykow 0-10; and Jaden Johnson/Valezquez lost to Duff/Smail 5-10.
In JV singles, Lexie Beckman lost 0-6, 0-6.
The Lady Vandals were again shut out in a match at Effingham on Tuesday.
The No. 3 double team of Alexis Beckman and Valezquez won three games in their first set before getting rained out.
Singles – Hudson lost to Funneman 0-6, 0-6; Aleia Beckman lost to Douthit 0-6, 2-6; Ward lost to Schafer 0-6, 1-6; Hedgpeth lost to Kull 4-6, 1-6; Johnson lost to Cornell 0-6, 3-6; Alexis Beckman lost to Boyle 0-6, 4-6.
Doubles – Hudson/Ward lost to Funneman/Douthit 0-6, 0-6; Aleia Beckman/Hedgpeth lost to Kull/Schafer 1-6, 1-6; Alexis Beckman/Velazquez lost to Boyle/Arend 3-6, 0-1 (rain).

SOCCER
Vandalia lost to Litchfield, 8-0, on Tuesday at Litchfield.
Emma Warner had 10 saves in goal for Vandalia.
