THANKSGIVING DAY
? The 10th annual free Community Thanksgiving Meal provided by Fayette County Habitat for Humanity is being held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the American Legion Home, 321 S. Seventh St., Vandalia. The meal is a community event allowing local residents to celebrate Thanksgiving for others. Reservations are not required.

Friday, November 25

? The Leader-Union office will be closed for Thanksgiving.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Sunday, November 27

? St. Peter's Lutheran Church and School will hold their annual turkey supper in the school gym, with serving beginning at 5 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, with children under age 3 free. Carry-outs will be available.

Monday, November 28

? The Vandalia Lions Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.

Wednesday, November 30

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a story time at 4 p.m. Children of all ages are invited.

Thursday, December 1

? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m.

Friday, December 2

? The Leader-Union office will be closed for Thanksgiving.
? Evans Public Library's Teen Advisory Board meets at 4 p.m. Teens interested in joining the board should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
Saturday, December 3

? The Vandalia Leo Club, which is the youth affiliate of the Vandalia Lions Club, will hold its inaugural all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 6-10 a.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12. Proceeds will be used hearing aids for local residents and also to purchase a bell and banner for the club.
? Soroptimist International of Vandalia is holding "Breakfast with Santa" from 8-10 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 727 W. Gallatin St. The cost is $5 per plate, and the menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, and juice, milk or coffee. The event includes photos with Santa, with each child receiving a goodie bag. Tickets for the annual Soroptimist Christmas tree raffle will be available, with Santa drawing the winning name at the end of the breakfast.
? The Ramsey Music Boosters' Holiday Bazaar will be held at Ramsey Schools, beginning at 9 a.m. Admission is $2, with children ages 12 and under admitted free. The bazaar features 14 vendors, and each one is offering a door prize.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.
