Pana Lake drowning victim a Vandalia resident

The Springfield newspaper is reporting that a drowning victim at Pana Lake has been identified as a Vandalia resident.

The State-Journal Register reported that Christian County Coroner Amy Winans on Thursday said that it was the body of 26-year-old Dustin W. Conway that found found floating in the lake on Tuesday night.

An autopsy performed on Thursday showed that drowning was the cause of death, the SJ-R quoted Winans as saying.

The Pana Police Department received a report of a body floating on Pana Lake at 7:27 p.m. The body was recovered by the Pana Fire Department and Taylorville Fire Department Dive and Rescue Team.
