Gordon, Meyer advance to state track & field finals
Curtis Gordon advanced to the state finals in both the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles, and Ethan Meyer moved on to the state finals in the triple jump.
Gordon was among the pole vaulters meeting the qualifying height of 13 feet, 6 inches, and he qualified in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.50 seconds.
Meyer had the third-best jump, 42 feet, 10 1/4 inches, to advance to Saturday's finals.
For the Patoka/South Central co-op, Chase Riley ran the 100-meter dash in 11.37 seconds, and just missed qualifying in the 200-meter run with a time of 22.80 seconds, with the final qualifying time being 22.79.
The Patoka/South Central Co-op team of Riley, Tyler Back, Sean O'Leary and Jard Cain ran the 4×200 relay in a time of 1:32.34.
