Grants for Guns

Fayette County State's Attorney Joshua Morrison, center, presented to the Ramsey and Brownstown police departments AR-15 rifles that were purchased through a grant program he operates to provide equipment for local law enforcement agencies.

Accepting the guns were Steve Flood of the Ramsey department, left, and Caleb Walton of the Brownstown department. The purchases used $3,300 in grant monies; Morrison funds the grants through drug forfeitures and seizures in the county. Grant funds have also been used to purchase radar guns and body cameras for officers.
