Sports Boosters 5K on Oct. 25

The Vandals Sports Boosters will hold their inaugural Spooktacular 5K run and fun run/walk next Saturday.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Rogier Park pavilion at the top of the Lincoln Loop Walking Path, and the run and fun run/walk begin at 9 a.m.
The entry fee is $20, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes for the event. A costume contest for participants and pets will be held after the 5K.
The entry fee includes a T-shirt and bottled water.
Prizes will be awarded in many categories, and a traveling trophy will be awarded to the organization or group with the most participants.

Lady Cougars hold untimed 5K

The South Central Lady Cougars softball team is holding an untimed 5K color run/walk to raise funds for the team, which is not funded by the school district.
The event will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Farina Park.
The fee is $15 for ages 18 and under, and $25 for all others, with those age 6 and under free.
On the day of the run/walk, participants are asked to take a non-perishable food item, with those received being donated to the local food pantry.
