Friday, 5-9 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

• Live reindeer in the former bank drive-up, next to Liberty Trading, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
• Lighting of city Christmas tree at Seventh and Gallatin streets, 5 p.m.
• Mobile Millennium carillon, 300 block of West Gallatin Street.
• Soroptimist International of Vandalia Cookie Walk, 6 p.m., northeast corner of Sixth and Gallatin streets.
• Santa and Mrs. Claus at Something Special.
• Free trolley rides, with pickup of riders next to Allen’s Furniture, Fourth and Gallatin streets.
• Live nativity scene in front of Old Capitol Antiques building, 300 block of West Gallatin Street.
• Tours of National Road Interpretive Center, located north of Vandalia City Hall.
• Special holiday sales by downtown merchants.
• Eight vendors along the sidewalks on Friday evening and five vendors on Saturday.  The vendors include bake sales, free children’s Christmas books, kettle corn, a quilt raffle, purses, hair accessories, Thirty-One and Scentsy.
