VFW Auxiliary again part of Wreaths Across America

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary at Old Capitol Post 3862 in Vandalia is again participating in the national Wreaths Across America project.
An annual project that started more than 20 years ago, Wreaths Across America is about remembering, honoring and teaching about veterans.
The Ladies Auxiliary at Post 3862 place more than 200 wreaths at the graves of veterans in Fairlawn, Maxey, McInturff, Mulberry Grove, Noffsinger and Taylor cemeteries.
Donations to the programs are accepted and may be mailed to: VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3862, 2404 W. St. Louis Ave., Vandalia, Ill. 62471.
For those who donate $20 or more, the Ladies Auxiliary will lay a wreath on the grave of the donor’s choice in any of the six cemeteries previously mentioned. Those donors need to provide the name and location of the gravesite where the wreath will be placed.
