Logo selected for Fayette County family histories book
The Fayette County Genealogical & Historical Society has announced the logo for its Fayette County Family History Book – a sketch of the Vandalia Statehouse within the outline of Fayette County.
Brochures are being printed and addressed, and will soon be in the mail.
The brochure gives samples of actual Fayette County family histories for residents to read.
There are requests and directions for the submission of family histories and old photographs, as well as ordering information. Stories and old photos or book orders may be dropped off at Evans Public Library; mailed to Fayette County Family History Book, c/o FCGHS, P.O. Box 177, Vandalia, Ill. 62471; or given to one of the committee members.
There are a couple of upcoming sessions to help residents learn about writing their family histories.
