State police ticket two for selling alcohol to minors

Illinois State Police District 12 officers conducted a Campus Tap Enforcement surveillance detail at various establishments during the evening of Feb. 13 in Effingham and Fayette counties.
The purpose of these Campus Tap details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (people under 21 years of age).
Twenty-seven locations were surveyed in Altamont, Edgewood, St. Elmo, St. Peter, Farina and Vandalia.
The following businesses were involved in the sale of alcohol to a minor, and the listed employees were arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic beverage to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and were released on a notice to appear in court:
• Full Moon Bar and Grill, 120 S. Sixth St. Vandalia, Teresa J. Eastin age 43.
• TC’s Package Liquor 1219 N. Fourth St. Vandalia, Gregory N. Hohlt, age 56.
Employees at the following establishments are to be commended for not selling alcohol to a minor after asking for identification:
• Los Amigos, 1611 Veterans Ave., Vandalia.
• Mach 21 Liquor Store, 1412 Rock Island Ave., Vandalia.
• On The Rox Pub and Grub, 4728 E.U.S. Highway 40, Altamont.
• Sporty’s Beverage Connection, 8745 N. 300th St., Altamont.
• Tips Corner Inc. 118 N. Second St., Altamont.
• Blue Mound Tavern, 483 E. Highway 40, Altamont.
• VFW, U.S. Route 40, Altamont.
• Lukinbach’s, 112 West Adams, Altamont.
• Casey’s General Store, 410 W. Cumberland Road, St. Elmo
• Jumpin Jimmy’s, 101 W. Cumberland St., St. Elmo.
• Mitchell’s Package, 101 S. Main St., St. Elmo.
• The Redwood Inn, 204 W. Gallatin, Vandalia.
• CT’s Package Liquor, 110 W. Gallatin St., Vandalia.
• Gallatin Street Grille, 524 W. Gallatin St., Vandalia.
• American Legion, 800 N. Ill. Route 37, Edgewood.
• Jumpin Jimmy’s, 601 Iowa St., Edgewood.
• Jack Flash, 1003 W. Washington, Farina.
• K-Moes Tavern, 910 E. Third, St. Peter.
• Schaefer’s Bar and Grill, 119 E. Third St., St. Peter.
• Chuckwagon Cafe, 704 Janett Ave.,Vandalia
• Rancho Nuevo, 1433 N. Fifth St., Vandalia.
• Pizza Hut, 1602 N. Eighth St., Vandalia
• Copper Penny, 125 Fourth St., Vandalia.
• Cages, 215 S. Third St., Vandalia.
• Vandalia Bowl, 2605 Veterans Ave., Vandalia.
