VCSF All-School Reunion
About 225 people attended the Vandalia All-School Reunion held at the American Legion Home in Vandalia.
Sponsored by the Vandalia Community School Foundation, the evening included a catered meal and music by "15 and Hulman."
The goal of the foundation is to make everyone feel invited to the reunion, whether they attended and/or graduated from Vandalia schools. "Anyone is welcome, and we'd love to have you there," said Sharon LaDage of the foundation.
LaDage said that several families have discovered that the reunion is a good way for them to get together, and foundation officials are encouraging other families to do that in the future.
The Vandalia Community High School class of 1957 gathered during the All-School Reunion held by the Vandalia Community Schools Foundation. Seated in front, from left to right, are Diane Carrico, Mary Lou Tate and Claudette Tevis Merriman. In the second row are Doris Young, Dorothy Ann Doran Jenkins, Elizabeth Steinhauer Thom, June Meador, Linda Blankenship Perkins, Jackie Schmitt Stowe, Linda Mabry Michel and Harry Volberg. In the third row are Eddie Young, Leon Carrioc, Joe Tate, Jim Meador, Doug Thom, Dan Michel, Terry Hopkins and Larry Perkins.
