Hoviouses’ grandson plays on traveling baseball team

Justyn Allen, son of Jeff and Michele (Hovious) Allen of Paris, Ill., and grandson of Earl and Deanna Hovious of Brownstown, played on a traveling team in Paris this summer.

His team, Paris Thunder, was invited to play in a 10-team tournament Aug. 4-6, in Louisville, Ky. The team lost only one game in the three-day tournament, coming home with second place.
Each team member received a small trophy and neck medallion.
Allen, who plays left field and center field, had three hits and two walks in the tournament. He was hit by a pitch twice, and had one strikeout.
His parents also reported that he made several good catches in the outfield.
