? The Fayette County Health Department will hold hospice volunteer training from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the FCHD office, 416 W. Edwards St., Vandalia. Opportunities include home visits, music therapy, baking brigade, Gifts of Love and Friendly Faces. Those who are interested may call 283-7262.
? St. Peter Prairie Days get under way at 5 p.m. with the St. Peter Fire Department's chicken and fish fry. Danny Patton and Straight Lace will be performing.
Saturday, August 25

? The Fayette County Mobile Food Pantry will be in the parking lot of Pinnacle Foods, with distribution on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Those picking up food are to take bags, baskets or boxes.
? The second annual Midwest All-Ford Nationals is being held at the Vandalia Lake campgrounds. Registration is from 8 a.m.-noon, a Model T Rapid Assembly is from 1-2 p.m., and awards will be handed out at 4 p.m. Pony rides and jump houses for kids will be available from 1-4 p.m., and musical entertainment will be provided throughout the afternoon.
? St. Peter Prairie Days continues. The parade to the park is at 1 p.m., with fire department waterball fights to follow. A food stand and various activities will be available throughout the afternoon.

? The second annual Midwest All-Ford Nationals continues at the Vandalia Lake campgrounds. The schedule includes registration from 8 a.m.-noon, pony rides and jump houses from 1-4 p.m., and musical entertainment from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Winner presentations are at 4 p.m.
Monday, August 27
? TOPS IL 2020 will meet in the Fayette County Hospital conference room. Weigh-in is from 5-5:45 p.m., with the meeting to follow.
? The Vandalia Lions Club will meet at Days Inn. The executive board meets at 5:15 p.m., and the regular board meeting is at 6 p.m.

? Evans Public Library will hold a lapsit story time at 6 p.m. at the library. The August theme is "School Days."
