Real Living Vandalia Real Estate office now located on Eighth Street
After about two decades on Gallatin Street, Sandy Michel has decided to relocate her real estate business to 1442 N. Eighth St.
And following the mantra of the real estate world, she likes the new office for three reasons – location, location and location.
“I’ve always loved this part of town,” said Michel, the managing broker and owner of Real Living Vandalia Real Estate. “North Eighth Street is a very heavily traveled street, and that makes it a very visible location.”
The building, owned by Michel’s father, Dean Bowen, previously had housed The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy. It’s located directly across from Dairy Queen.
Though it’s somewhat smaller than her previous office in the 300 block of Gallatin Street, Michel said that the new location is a good fit for her business.
“It gives us a good work environment,” she said. “Because there’s much better parking here, it’s easier for our customers to get in and out. We’ll miss the downtown area, but this gives us a very efficient office.”
Real Living Vandalia Real Estate is a full-service real estate agency, offering commercial, residential, farm and recreational properties. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The telephone remains the same (283-4436) as does the website (www.reallivingvandalia.com). Outside of the regular business hours, Michel is available through her cell phone (322-4436).
Operating out of the office are eight other brokers and secretary Jen Philpot.
