Patoka’s Community Day of Caring

ExxonMobil employees joined hands with volunteers in the community for the fourth annual Community Day of Caring in Patoka last Friday.

In the first photo, volunteer Jim Jennings works on the new basketball court in the village park. In the second photo, Alex Lock of Ramsey Welding in Altamont (first photo) and Tracy Murray of ExxonMobil work on the electrical wiring for the new scoreboard on the baseball field at Patoka High School. In the third photo is one of the three sets of new bleachers put together and installed in the show ring at the park after older bleachers were removed. ExxonMobil employee Jeremy Landreth, who is also on the village board and school board, helped to coordinate the work last Friday. Landreth said that the concrete and wiring were donated, that the school district held a fundraiser for the new scoreboard and the Patoka Fall Festival Committee purchased the bleachers. Landreth said ExxonMobil participates in the Community Day of Caring projects "because it is really big on being a quality neighbor, on giving back to the community."
