Virginia L. Elam, 67, Vandalia

Virginia Lee Elam, 67, of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in her home.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Mrs. Elam was born on Sept. 21, 1944, in Missouri, the daughter of John Labon and Virginia Alice Pritchett Bolyard. She married Harold Rhoades, later married Cecil Warren, and married Lowell Dean Elam on Nov. 13, 1988.

She is survived by her husband; son, John Warren of Vera; daughters, Beth Mills of Dollville, Annette Cole of Vera, Johanna Davis of Vandalia, Sarah Warren of Shobonier and Eva Warrant of Beloit, Wis.; and mother, of Vandalia.
