Selena C. Meador, 77, Vandalia

Selena C. Meador, 77, of Vandalia, died at 2:12 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Friendship Manor in St. Elmo.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. There was no visitation. Mrs. Meador was born on Feb. 2, 1935, in Vandalia, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie Elam Osborne. She married Leslie “Dale” Meador on Nov. 25, 1970, in Springfield; he died on July 15, 1991.

She was retired from Crane Packing in Vandalia. She is survived by a brother; grandchildren, Kristy Gallup North, Crystal Clark and Cody Clark; and great-grandchildren, Seth and Joey North.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gregory Gallup; and daughter, Tammy Gallup.
