City issues No Burn order

Due to the extremely dry conditions in the area. Mayor Rick Gottman has issued a No Burn Order for the corporate limits of the city of Vandalia.

The order prohibits residents from any burning within the city limits.

Although fireworks are already illegal within the City of Vandalia, citizens are STRONGLY urged to obey this restriction. All violators of this no burn order will be ticketed.

The No Burn Order is in effect until further notice and is to ensure the safety of all citizens and their property.
