Art show winners announced

The annual Amateur Town & Country Art Show and the Professional Art Show for 2012 was held June 16-24. A total of 208 pieces were entered in these combined shows.
Amateur Town & Country Show
The amateur adult art division was judged by Professor Jacob Amundson of Greenville College. Six artists entered 21 pieces in this division.
The Judge’s Choice went to Della E. Pontious of St. Peter for an oil painting titled “Enjoying the Hollyhocks.” The Amateur Art Award went to Sharon Moss of St. Elmo for an oil painting titled “Kuaui Fruit.”
Ribbon winners in this division were:
• Mary Biggs of Centralia-one second.
• Debby Holtzman of Belleville-one first, one third.
• Mark Etcheson of Vandalia-one first, two seconds.
• Sharon Moss of St. Elmo-one second, one third.
• Della E. Pontious of St. Peter-one first, one second.
• Caressa Weber of Centralia-one first.
The amateur adult photography division was judged by Professor Jacob Amundson of Greenville College. Twenty- four photographers entered 93 photos in this division.
The following photographers received awards:
• Debbie Aming of Walnut Hill for “KY Bridge.”
• Charles Holland of Centralia for “This Is My Body.”
• Meg Kinney of Vandalia for “Lost.”
• Bonnie Lee Noeninger of O’Fallon for “Leather Landing.”
• Harry Orr of Salem for “Swirling Leaves.”
• Joseph Prosise of Centralia for “The Catch.”
• Bob Riseling of Effingham for “Train Time.”
• William S. Snyder of Salem for “Quiet Cabin.”
Ribbon winners in this division were:

• Bonnie Lee Noeninger of O’Fallon-one first.
• Jim Noeninger of Shiloh-one first.
• Harry Orr of Salem-one first, one second, one third.
• Kerri Patterson of Vandalia-one first, one second.

• Nancy Scribner of Ramsey-one third.
• Charlotte Zeman of Ashley-one first, one second, one third.
The youth division for ages 7-12 was judged by professional artist Lynn Louise Reznick of Vandalia.
Twelve youth entered 28  pieces in this division.
Awards went to the following:
• Jenny Schilling (age 7) of Brownstown for a watercolor titled “Crazy II.”
• Kolby Brewer (age 9) of Altamont for a pastel titled "Grant."
Ribbon winners in this division were:
• Elizabeth Barenfanger (age 8) of Vandalia-one first.
• Mistie Stilt (age 8) of Vandalia-one second, four thirds.
• Bradin Baucum (age 9) of Altamont-one first, three seconds.
• Kolby Brewer (age 9) of Altamont-two firsts, one second.
• Isaac Crow (age 9) of Altamont-two firsts.
• Sheridan Schreiber (age 10) of Hillsboro-one second.
• Cailey Stockton (age 10) of Carlyle-one first.
• Joshua Schilling (age 11) of Brownstown-one first.
• Courtney Dascotte (age 12) of Carlyle-one third.
• Jacob D. Eversgerd (age 12) of Centralia-one second.
• Breese Stilt (age 12) of Vandalia-two seconds, three thirds.
The youth division for ages 13-17 was judged by professional artist Lynn Louise Reznick of Vandalia. Eighteen youth entered 41 pieces in this division.
Awards went to the following:
• Katie Brethorst (age 14) of Carlyle for a photo titled “Peaceful.”
• Jill Schlling (age 16) of Brownstown for a 3D sculpture titled “Last Man on Earth.”
Ribbon winners in this division were:

Professional Art Show
Eight artists entered 25 pieces in the Professional Show. This show was judged by Professor Jacob Amundson of Greenville College.
The Judge’s Choice Award went to Lynn Louise Reznick for a watercolor titled “Engine 11352.”
The Professional Art Award went to Lorraine White for a watercolor titled “Poppy #2.”
Ribbons went to the following:
