William O. ‘Red’ Livesay, 88, St. Elmo

William Oscar “Red” Livesay, 88, of St. Elmo, formerly of Vandalia, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Friendship Manor in St. Elmo.

As per Mr. Livesay’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded, with burial as sea at a later date. Day Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.dayfuneralhomes.com.

Mr. Livesay was born on Feb. 19, 1924, in Wichita, Kan., the son of William Oscar and Iona McKee Livesay. He married Laura J. Fox on Dec. 15, 1951, in Kankakee; she preceded him in death.
