? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
? The Vandalia Band Boosters will hold a Country Rhodes all-you-can-eat fish, shrimp and chicken buffet from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Vandalia Junior High School cafeteria. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $5.50 for children ages 12 and under.
? The Vandalia Junior High School spring band concert will be held at 7 p.m.
Friday, May 11

? The village of Brownstown is holding its annual Cleanup Day. Residents may put out unwanted items with their regular trash. For more information, see today's Brownstown-Sefton News on Page 10B.
? National Bank, located on Gochenour Street in Vandalia, will hold a bake sale to benefit Relay for Life from 8:30 a.m. until all items are sold. The bank is also holding an ongoing book sale, with hardback books sold for $2 and paperbacks sold for $1.
? St. Elmo High School spring musical, “Georgia on My Mind,” is set for 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are to be purchased ahead of time in the school office.
Saturday, May 12

? The Octochem Relay for Life team will hold a "Cars for the Cure" car show from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the parking lot of County Market on Veterans Avenue in Vandalia.
? Brookstone Estates will hold a Mother's Day Team at 2 p.m. in the dining room. For more information, call 283-9825.
? St. Elmo High School spring musical, “Georgia on My Mind,” is set for 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are to be purchased ahead of time in the school office.
? A country music dance is held from 7-10 p.m. every Saturday at the old Seminary Schoolhouse south of Hagarstown. For more information, call 267-8386 or 367-1506.
Monday, May 14

? The city of Vandalia's Cleanup Week begins. Residents may place unwanted items out with their regular trash on their regular trash pickup days.
? The Vandalia Lions Club will meet at Days Inn. The executive board meets at 5:15 p.m., and the regular club meeting is at 6 p.m.
? TOPS IL 2020 will meet at 5:45 p.m. in the Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care conference room. Weigh-in is at 5 p.m. New members are welcome.
? A Fayette County Relay for Life meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the pavilion at Rogier Park on West Fillmore Street in Vandalia. All team captains, team members and committee members are urged to attend. Campsites will be assigned at this meting. Anyone interested in helping with the event may attend this meeting or contact Dave Rickman at 283-7066.

 ? The Fayette County Board of Health will meet at 6:15 p.m. at the Fayette County Health Department, 416 W. Edwards St., Vandalia.
? The Vandalia Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. in the district's administration center.
Wednesday, May 16

 ? A volunteer meeting for the Summer Lunches for Kids will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. Those who wish to volunteer but cannot attend the meeting are asked to call Pat Rhodes, 283-5372.
? The Fayette County Emergency Management Agency will meet at 7 p.m. in the EMA headquarters, located in the basement of the Fayette County Jail.
? The Vandalia Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club.
