Family YMCA offering Healthy Kids Day

The Family YMCA of Fayette County will hold YMCA Healthy Kids Day this Saturday.
The day will include:
• A 5K fun run and walk.
• Dodgeball
• 1-mile fun family walk
• Fitness Fun 101
• Sand volleyball
• Hit, Pitch and Run competition.
The fun run and walk begins from the Family YMCA on Rock Island Avenue at 9 a.m. There is no charge, and water bottles will be provided to all runners and walkers.
Fitness Fun 1010 will run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., during which children and adults will be introduced to the YMCA gym atmosphere, equipment and classes.
Games will be played from 10 a.m.-noon.
The Hit, Pitch and Run, sponsored by Aquafina, is for ages 7-14.
The competition will be held on the Vandalia Field of Dreams baseball and softball fields, with registration beginning at 3:30 p.m. and the event beginning at 4 p.m.
