Charlene Lawler, 93, Ohio

Charlene Lawler, 93, of Belle Manor Nursing Home in New Carlisle, Ohio, formerly of Fayette County, died at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Union Cemetery in Vera, with the Rev. Ernie Flowers officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Atkins-Shively Funeral Home in St. Paris, Ohio. Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lawler was born on May 1, 1918, in Wheatland Township, Fayette County, the daughter of Harry and Zella Swarm Pummill. She married LeRoy Lawler on July 10, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo.; he died in 1987.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce Swofford of Sterling, Kan., and Judith and her husband Mark McCery of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and son, Kenneth Lawler and his wife Dolly of St. Paris, Ohio.
