Carol E. Lackey, 66, Vandalia

Carol E. Lackey, 66, of Vandalia, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012, in the emergency room at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lovington. Mrs. Lackey was born on Mrch 9, 1946, in Litchfield, the daughter of William “Scottie” and Barbara Lapowski Fleming. She married Jack M. Lackey on June 25, 1966, in Effingham.

She is survived by her husband; and sons, Brian Collman and his fiancée Peggy of Brownstown, and Brett Collman of Vera.
