Anita F. Griffin, 91, of Vandalia, died at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Private burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday and one hour before services on Monday, both at the church. Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Griffin was born on Nov. 8, 1920, in El Dorado, Kan., the daughter of Harrold E. and Nota Ann Randolph Thompson. She married Charles B. Griffin on June 12, 1940, in Hannibal, Mo.; he died on March 13, 1999.
She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Ann and her husband Phil Meyer of Osage Beach, Mo., and Deborah Kay and her husband Ronnie of Harmeier of Shobonier; and son, Charles Phillip Griffin and his wife Mary of Overland Park, Kan.
