Courtney Taylor will speak at Lenten Luncheon next week

Courtney Taylor, youth leader at the Northside Christian Church, will be the speaker at the third Lenten Luncheon next Wednesday at the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vandalia.

A soft-spoken, very personable young woman, she is also very mature, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in her conversation and attitude.
She works full-time as a lifeguard at the Vandalia Municipal Swimming Pool in the summer.
The daughter of Mark Taylor and Chris Taylor, she is the oldest of three children. She has a sister, Rhyane, and a brother, Kip.
She has attended church since she was a young child, and especially appreciates the Bible studies led by her pastor, the Rev. Carl Rhodes.
She would like to work with children someday in the future, and especially has an interest in children who are deaf.
She is proficient in signing, and sometimes signs the words to the hymns in their congregational singing.
The Lenten Luncheon theme this year is “Unity,” and Courtney will speak on unity in the home and family.
“You need to have unity in your family and home, to help bring unity to others,” Courtney said.
The third Lenten Luncheon will begin at noon at St. James Lutheran Church in Vandalia.
