Three businesses cited in ISP alcohol surveillance

Illinois State Police District 12 officers conducted Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) surveillance at various establishments during the evening hours of Jan. 12 in Effingham and Fayette counties.
The purpose of these ACE details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under 21 years of age).
Twenty-one locations were surveyed in Altamont, Vandalia, St. Elmo and St. Peter.
The following businesses were involved in the sale of alcohol to a minor and the listed employees were arrested for unlawful delivery of alcoholic beverage to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and were released on notices to appear in court:
• Los Amigos, 1611 Veterans Ave. Suite H Vandalia, Erick Roman, age 36, Vandalia.
• Old Capital View Restaurant, 401 W. Gallatin St., Vandalia, Lora Mae Rigdon, age 22, Brownstown.
• Vandalia Bowl, 2605 Veterans Ave. Vandalia, Larry J. Earnest, age 52, Vandalia.
Employees at the following establishments were commended for not selling alcohol to a minor after asking for identification:
• Cages, 215 S. Third St., Vandalia.
• CT’S Package Liquor, 110 Gallatin St., Vandalia.
• Full Moon Bar and Grill, 120 S Sixth St., Vandalia.
• Mach 21 Liquor Store, 1412 Rock Island Ave., Vandalia.
• Pizza Hut, 1602 N. Eighth St., Vandalia.
• Rancho Nuevo, 1433 N. Fifth St., Vandalia.
• TC’S Package Liquor, 1219 N. Fourth St., Vandalia.
• The Copper Penny Bar and Grille, 125 S. Fourth St., Vandalia.
• The Redwood Inn, 204 W. Gallatin St., Vandalia.
• Blue Mound Tavern, 483 E. Highway 40, Altamont.
• Lukenbachs, 112 W. Adams, Altamont.
• On The Rocks Pub and Grub, 4728 E. U.S. Route 40, Altamont.
• Tips Corner Inc., 118 N. Second St., Altamont.
• K-Moe’s Tavern, 910 E. Third, St. Peter.
• Schaefer’s Bar and Grill, 119 E. Third St., St. Peter
• Casey’s General Store, 410 W. Cumberland Road, St. Elmo.
• Jumpin’ Jimmy’s, 101 W. Cumberland Road, St. Elmo.
• Mitchell’s Package Liquor, 101 S. Main St., St. Elmo.
