Betty J. Perry, 77, Vandalia
Betty J. Perry, 77, of Vandalia, died on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia, with the Revs. Daniel McDonald and Paul Cagle officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Monday, both at the church. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Perry was born on Sept. 26, 1934, in Vandalia, the daughter of Donald Mitchell and Hazel Rosetta McClary Horton. She married Arthur Nathaniel Perry on March 12, 1952, in Hillsboro.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by her husband; son, Jay Perry and his wife Sayona of Vandalia; granddaughters, Ally and Aubrea Perry; great-grandson, Jasper Perry; and sisters, Alta Lee and her husband Beryl Leininger of Vandalia, and Kay Sue and her husband Ronald Myers of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Horton.
