Earl Abendroth, 82, St. Elmo

Earl Abendroth, 82, of St. Elmo, died at 10:35 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Chapel in St. Elmo. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo. Memorials: The family.

Mr. Abendroth was born on Jan. 14, 1929, in Fayette County, the son of Albert E. and Dora L. Zimmer Abendroth. He married Betty R. Force on Aug. 31, 1957.

He is survived by his wife; and children, David Abendroth of St. Elmo, Jerry Abendroth of St. Elmo, Naomi and her husband Noah Jennings of Brownstown, Darlene and her husband Roger Mitchell of St. Elmo, and Eileen and her husband Travis Devall of Brownstown.
