Marie L. Green, 88, Patoka

Marie L. Green, 88, of Patoka, died at 11:25 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Patoka, with the Rev. Clayton Coffey Will officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Branch Cemetery in rural Alma. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church. Day Funeral Home in Patoka was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: First United Methodist Church in Patoka. Mrs. Green was born on April 29, 1923, in Kinmundy, the daughter of Melvin and Della Atkins Doolen. She married Clyde R. Green on Nov. 16, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo.; he died on April 26, 1988.

She is survived by son, Bob Green and his wife Edna of Rockton; and daughter, Peggy and her husband Ranny Torrence of Ft. Worth, Texas.
