Robert C. ‘Bob’ McDaniel, 80, Shorewood

Robert C. “Bob” McDaniel, 80, of Shorewood, and formerly of Ramsey, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, in Joliet.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Brockville Cemetery in rural Newton, with the Rev. Shannon Bopp officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey. Memorials: Brockville Cemetery, Joliet Community Hospice or Ramsey Christian Church. Mr. McDaniel was born on June 11, 1931, in Sycamore, the son of Benjamin Frank and Alta Mae Wilkey McDaniel. He married Delores J. “Jean” Petty on Sept. 1, 1961, in Decatur; she preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Roger C. McDaniel and his wife Lisa of Joliet; and daughter, Alanna Atkinson of Shorewood.
