‘Dude’ Landreth, 84, Vernon
Harold Verne “Dude” Landreth, 84, of Vernon, died on Fridya, Oct. 7, 2011, at his home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Patoka United Methodist Church in Patoka, with the Rev. Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour before services on Monday, both at the church. Day Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Landreth was born on June 27, 1927, in rural Vernon, the son of Leo and Lillian Links Landreth. He married S. Rosemary “Rose” Ripple on June 20, 1949, in Mayfield, Ky.; she died on Feb. 27, 2009.
He is survived by children, Mike “Dude” Landreth and his wife Vonnie of Vernon, Richard “Harry” Landreth and his wife Sena of Vernon, and Larry “Butch” Landreth and his wife Susan of Patoka; and daughter, Karla and her husband Tom Simpson of Patoka.
