Fannie M. Rhodes, 74, St. Elmo

Fannie May Rhodes, 74, of St. Elmo, died at 12:25 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Friendship Manor of St. Elmo.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. this Saturday at First Baptist Church in St. Elmo. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in rural Beecher City. Visitation will be held an hour before services at the church on Saturday. Kessel Funeral Home in St. Elmo was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The family. Mr. Rhodes was born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Effingham, the daughter of Oliver Perry and Lethia Mae Shadwell Jewell. She married Jerry A. Rhodes on Nov. 12, 1955, in Effingham; he died on Feb. 12, 2009.
She is survived by daughters, Helen and her husband Richard Leverton of Springfield, and Jane Rhodes of Concordia, Mo.; and sons, Jerry Duane Rhodes and his wife Rhonda, and Dean Rhodes and his wife Cindy of St. Clair, Mo.
