Ellen E. Gillespie, 74, Bluff City

Ellen E. Gillespie, 74, of Bluff City, died at 3:06 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, in her home.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, with the Rev. Bill Schwengel officiating. Burial will be in Loy Chapel Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held one hour before services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials: The family.

Mrs. Gillespie was born on March 17, 1937, in Effingham. She married Merle Gillespie in 1952 in Effingham.

She is survived by her husband.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
