Ronnie L. Crain, 46, Farina

Ronnie L. Crain, 46, of Farina, died at 7:52 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with the Revs. William Emrick and Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial was in Old Loogootee Cemetery in rural Loogootee. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter and one hour before services on Saturday at the church. Memorials: St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Crain was born on May 15, 1965, in Elmhurst, the son of Merle and Sandy Parks Crain. He married Lynette Brauer on Oct. 12, 1985, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, and this union was blessed with three children – Dusti, Wade and Will.

He was a correctional officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections and was co-owner, with his brother, Kevin, of C-Bar Rodeo. Ronnie was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He very much loved watching and living through his children.

He is survived by his wife; children, Dusti of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Wade and Will, both of Farina; parents; brother, Kevin Crain and his wife Dawn of Farina; sister, Rachel and her husband Chad Murphy of New Athens; father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Shirley Brauer of St. Peter; brothers-in-law, Tim Brauer and his wife Jan, and Scott Brauer and his wife Shannon, both of St. Peter; and many nieces and nephews.
