Harold F. Gillett, 66, Vernon

Harold F. Gillett, 66, of Vernon, died on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Day Funeral Home in Patoka, with the Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery, with military rites accorded by Edgar R. Rogier American Legion Post 543 of Patoka. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Thursday, both at the funeral home. Mr. Gillett was born on Nov. 1, 1944, in Patoka, the son of Delbert L. and Dorothy Schubert Gillett. He married Nancy Jo Halbrook, and later married Vickie Cooper, and they were later divorced.

He is survived by sons, Matt Gillett and his wife Brandi, and Randy Gillett and his wife Barb of Vandalia.
