We Apologize

It was incorrectly stated in last week's issue that G&T Holdings had asked for a continuance in the trial for ordinance violation tickets written to the owners of the Redwood Inn for alleged smoking violations.
The city filed the motion for the continuance, saying that a witness in the case would be unable to be present for the trial last week.
The trial is now set for Oct. 3, with a pretrial set for Aug. 25.
We apologize for the error.

It was stated in last week's Public Record that James R. Adams was arrested on July 22 for failure to appear in court on a charge of criminal sexual abuse. The office of Fayette County State's Attorney Stephen Friedel decided last Wednesday not to prosecute the case.
