Carlos J. Hawley, 84, of Greenville, died at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011, at Greenville Regional Hospital in Greenville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Young Funeral Home in Greenville, with the Rev. Larry O’Dell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, with military rites accorded graveside by VFW Post 1377 of Greenville. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hawley was born on Dec. 24, 1926, in Highland, the son of Carlos C. and Ruth E. Minges Hawley. He married D. June Clymer on July 14, 1946, in Greenville; she died on Feb. 13, 1997. He married Dorothy E. Buchanan Davis on April 8, 1998, in Pocahontas.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Don Hawley of Pocahontas, David W. Hawley of Vienna and James H. Hawley of Okinawa, Japan; and daughters, Nancy Garrett of Maeystown, Kaye S. Robertson of Blue Mound, Christy J. Knapp of Pacific, Mo., and Barbara Adair of Collinsville.
