L. Darlene Eyman, 87, Breese

L. Darlene Eyman, 87, of Breese, and formerly of Vernon, died on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Breese Nursing Home in Breese.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Cory Hartz officiating. Burial will be in McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Hookdale. Mrs. Eyman was born on Wednesday, May 21, 1924, in Seminary Township, Fayette County, the daughter of Frank and Minnie Dugan Tompkins. She married Marion C. Eyman on April 10, 1947, in Peoria; he died on Aug. 1, 2006.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Rita and her husband Steve Kline of Carlyle; grandchildren, Matt Kline and his wife Misty, Erin and her husband Terry Perkins, and Kristin and her husband Jim East; great-grandchildren, Gage, Drew, Tyler, Matt, Abby and James; and sisters, Rotha Payne of Vernon and Dorothy Cox of Patoka.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five brothers.
