Lawrence Shellenbarger, 69, Herrick

Lawrence Shellenbarger, 69, of Herrick, died at 6:48 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011, at his residence in Bowling Green Township in Fayette County.
Services will be held at noon on Thursday at Herrick Baptist Church in Herrick, with Jay Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery in Bowling Green Township. Mr. Shellenbarger was born on Friday, Aug. 15, 1941, in Cold Springs Township, Shelby County, the son of Roy "Buttons" and Easter Elizabeth Matthews Shellenbarger. He married Carolyn Sue Sickles on Jan. 31, 1966, at Herrick Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; son, Lawrence Shellenbarger II and his wife Madonna of Herrick; and daughters, Tammy and her husband Charles Cox of Cowden, Angela and her husband Brian Mey of Herrick, and Kristy and her husband Tommy Quance of Effingham.
