Sandra P. Ritchey, 63, Decatur

Sandra Paige Ritchey, 63, of Decatur, died at 8:07 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at her residence.

Private services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the home of her son, Kevin Heath Sr., in Decatur. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The Ritchey family, c/o Kevin Heath Sr.

Mrs. Ritchey was born on July 24, 1947, in Richmond, Va., the daughter of Raymond Linwood and Sarah Elizabeth Morris Dunkum. She married Edward Ritchey; he died on June 7, 2003.

Mrs. Ritchey was a foster parent for many years, and she loved her children and her dogs.

She is survived by son, Kevin Heath Sr. and Robert Heath, both of Decatur; grandchildren, Sara Heath, Alicia Heath and Kevin Heath Jr.; great-grandson, Gage Heath; and sisters, Debbie Capasso of Monticello, N.Y., and Doris Webber of Center Cross, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
