Rena Torbeck, 92, Kinmundy

Rena Torbeck, 92, of rural Kinmundy, died at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Shobonier, with the Rev. David Hoehler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held one hour before services at the church. Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Torbeck was born on March 20, 1919, in Wilberton Township, Fayette County, the daughter of Henry and Louise Oertwig Henrichsmeyer. She married Albert W. Torbeck on Feb. 14, 1946, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Decatur; he died on Nov. 11, 2001.
