A Tower Hill man who was reported missing last week was found dead in a Vandalia home on Saturday evening.
Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen reported on Sunday that the body of James Mundy, 31, was found in a home in the 1900 block of Arrow Drive, and estimated that Mundy has been dead for about four days.
Bowen said he arrived at the home at 8:27 p.m. on Saturday, and pronounced Mundy dead at 8:30 p.m.
Vandalia police went to the home to seek information about Mundy's disappearance, and shortly thereafter, the owner of the home acknowledged that Mundy's body was in the residence.
An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Mundy's death was scheduled for Monday at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.
