Ruby E. Thompson, 90, Texas

Ruby Eleanor Thompson, 90, of Mission, Texas, and formerly of Vandalia, died at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, in McAllen, Texas.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Forbis Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Miller Funeral Home of Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson was born on April 2, 1920, in Woodyard, the daughter of Edward and Mabel Catherine (McMaster) Smith. She is survived by her brother, Ted of Vandalia; sister, Opal Sailsbery of Wheatfield, Ind.; and several nephews and a niece.
