Cleo Card, 87, Rock Falls

Cleo Card, 87, of Rock Falls, and formerly of Vandalia, died on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. David Yonker of First Christian Church in Sterling officiating. Burial will be in the Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: First Christian Church of Rock Falls.

Mrs. Card was born on March 25, 1923, in Vandalia, the daughter of George and Gertie Lipple Hall. She married Donald Card on Nov. 7, 1945, in Rock Falls.

She was employed with the Ramada Inn in Rock Falls for 10 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Rock Falls Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Nancy and her husband Gary Olds of Onalaska, Wis., Diane and her husband Larry Rauser of Ankeny, Iowa, and LuAnn and her husband Tim McFadden of Rock Falls; sisters, Vivian Sarchet, Bessie Jones and Jane Hall, all of Vandalia; brother, Bill Hall and his wife Jennie of Ramsey; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
