Skydiver dies in accident

A Missouri man died from injuries sustained in a skydiving accident on Saturday evening at Vandalia Airport.
Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen said that Jonathan Bullar, 24, of Maryland Heights,  made a jump with a group of skydivers from about 6,500 feet and that his parachute failed to deploy.
Bowen pronounced Bullar dead at the scene at 6:53 p.m.
Bowen’s office and the Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate the accident. An autopsy was performed on Monday at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
