Phyllis E. McPeek, 72, Brownstown

Phyllis E. McPeek, 72, of Brownstown, died at 6:55 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Lakeland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.

Private family burial is at a later date. Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Donor’s choice.

Mrs. McPeek was born on Aug. 2, 1938, in rural Brownstown, the daughter of Oran and Annabell Lansford Wasser. She married Orville McPeek in 1980.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Charles Knowles, Oran Knowles and James Knowles, all of Appleton, Mo.; stepson, Bruce McPeek of Seattle, Wash.; daughters, Anna Collins of Warsaw, Mo., Mary and her husband Rex Wheeler of Seattle, Wash., and Melissa Knowles of Christiana, Tenn.; and stepdaughter, Michele McPeek of Seattle, Wash.
