Jimmy Leon Edwards, 71, of Samson, Ala., and formerly of St. Elmo, died on Sunday, Sept. 26. 2010.

Mr. Edwards was born on Sept. 29, 1938, in St. Elmo, the son of Claud Weave and Mary Imogene Crum Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mabel Nichols Edwards; and daughters, Vicky and her husband David Pranger of Washington, Mo., and Connie and her husband Steve Catrett of Hartford, Ala..
